Oklahoma Civics Day

  • Oklahoma History Center 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive Oklahoma City, OK, 73105 United States (map)

For over 15 years, Generation Citizen has been committed to empowering youth to learn civics while doing civics through real-world democracy education across the country. Through Civics Days, middle and high school students will have the opportunity to present their Community - Based Action Civics projects.

Students present their real-world civics project to Community Advisors made up of other students, community members, business leaders, GC Alumni and public officials.

A GC class project led to 3 years of student advocacy and the 2022 passage of a bill that requires adults who sell alcohol to minors to attend victim impact panels. Senate Bill 283 requires those convicted to attend a victims impact panel program, along with other current penalties.

We would love for you to join us at this year’s Oklahoma Civics Day as a Community Advisor.  Advisors have the powerful opportunity to engage with young, future leaders who are committed to leading change in their communities and beyond. For more information, sign up here.
